- John Spencer, PhD, Biochemistry of Ageing Birmingham University; teacher, scientist and engineer. I have taught students for thirty years in many settings covering many subjects including, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, maths, computing and technology. From 2001 I have been an apologist for open source software in education. I am retired. I retain an interest in the biochemistry of ageing as well as in computing and electronics.
